Case this Sketch

I dont have time to do all the bits as I am rushing out the door for a 2 night break.  I forgot to do these yesterday and am running out of time.  Sorry about the poor photo quality.

So I ended up doing 3 cards, Two boy and One girl card using the sketch at Case the sketch

My Favourite Things with Muse

Another card today and this one was made using the sketch over at My Favorite Things blog and I coupled this with the inspirational card over at the Muse Challenge.  I actually really like the way this has turned out.  I white embossed the Lace Stamp onto whisper white card stock, then I daubed Daffodil Delight over the top to get the background.

Color Throwdown and Sweet Sunday

Its been a while since my last post life seems to run away with me all the time but very exciting I have had my craft area (garage) re vamped by my gorgeous Hubs, nothing fancy just new work tops around but so much better than it was.

Finally I have managed to do a card and actually blog it.  This card was made using the sketch over at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge  and used the Color Throwdown.

I embossed the image using white embossing powder on to vellum and then using the whisteria wonder blendabilities I coloured in the reverse, it gives such a nice subtle colour I just love it.

Colour Throwdown

It was from this inspirational card made by Teneale Williams that prompted this card.  I loved the whimsical look of it but I also wanted to make it my own, so I decided to use the colours from the Colour Throwdown Challenge blog. I embossed it with white and did a colour wash over the top with Midnight Muse and then filled it in a little with neat midnight muse and Mossy Meadow Green.  I coloured the pearls with my blendies and tied a bit of pool party thread for the Aqua element.

Mojo Monday

I love this new stamp that you can get totally free during sale-a-bration there are so many colour combos that work with it.  It is a 3 step stamp starting with the palest colour and building up darker to darker.  In fact you can just get away with double stamping if you so wish and it still doesn't spoil the effect.  The combo I have chosen is using a subtle colour with a pop of dark.

I used the sketch at Mojo Monday today and wanted to keep it simple and elegant.  I also used the sentiment Thinking of you because I think it suits the colour scheme and feels calm.
